A-Level Results due Thursday - What Careers Advice is there in Burgess Hill?

It's that time of year again when the news
-
Which Way Next? There is Careers Advice Available in Burgess Hill if you need it.
will soon be covering A-Level results around the country and no doubt the exams
have got easier again...or so we're told. And as I remember it, a
nerve-wracking time for those who have sat exams. So what advice is there for
those who don't get the grades they'd hoped for on Thursday? Are any Burgess
Hill people able to offer advice or reflections on how things turned out well,
despite differently, from what they'd expected after their results?
If, come Thursday, things haven't turned out as planned, there is help at hand.
It may be that your school or college is able to provide an advice service.
Alternatively, careers advice is available at the Information Shop for Young
People on Church Road in Burgess Hill. Appointments can be made for Wednesday afternoons
or there are drop-in sessions on a Friday. You can call 01293 528374 for more
information. There are also Connexions Careers Advice services at Crawley
(crawley.careers@vtplc.com) and Horsham (horsham.careers@vtplc.com). The above
services are for people up to the age of 19 and can provide information about
higher education and university courses, as well as tips on CV writing and
interview techniques. Connexions have a website with a telephone advice line that may be helpful.
There's also a Personal Advice and Guidance drop-in centre on Thursdays at Park
Centre, Park Road, Burgess Hill. Call 01293 528374 for more information.
If you are planning on attending university but were not accepted at your chosen university following
your results, check the university clearance systems for places left on
courses. The Sussex University clearance page is here if you're thinking about staying locally.
So, fingers crossed for everyone awaiting A-Level results but please remember there's help at hand if you need it. And if anyone else knows of any helpful local careers advice resources, please share.

Excellent advice. My brother got his IGCSE results recently - he took them early, so it was not too much of a worry - but his school offered advice.
