Attention art fans in Burgess Hill

If you are a fan of the arts, there is lots to look forward to locally from May-June this year with the nearby Lindfield Arts Festival on May 14th-15th and Burgess Hill Open Studios on the 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th June.

The Lindfield Arts Festival is a showcase of community talent across the full arts spectrum. There are workshops, displays, a world record Zumba attempt raising money for St Peter and St James Hospice, dance, music, theatre, literature events and sculpture. Have a look at the programme here and decide what you want to attend. Even if you don't think you're into the arts at all, there is local food to browse and a hog roast!

The Burgess Hill Open Studios are open from 10.30am-5pm on the dates indicated above and over 30 local artists and 100 students will be showing their work around the town, mostly in their homes. The art forms will vary and may include, for example, paintings, prints, woodwork, ceramics, sculptures and textiles. You can see which artists took part last year here and leaflets detailing this year's events will be available from the Burgess Hill Town Council Help Point and local libraries.
