Residents of Burgess Hill Meeds North and Burgess Hill Meeds South wards will need to vote for their Town Council representatives again on Thursday June 16th 2011. This is due to an error when issuing postal packs during the local council elections on May 5th this year.

On the Mid Sussex District Council website Tom Clark, the Electoral Returning Officer said, "I apologise for the postal vote error that means voters in Burgess Hill Meeds North and Burgess Hill Meeds South have to vote for their Town Council Members again on 16 June 2011 and I am grateful for the understanding shown by all concerned."

District Council election votes and AV votes remain valid and unaffected. It is only the Town Council votes which need to be cast again.

Poll cards have already been forwarded to residents living in the affected wards. For more information from Mid Sussex District Council, see here.

So...who will you vote for this time?!
