It's an interesting use of the large disused car park behind the cinema, I suppose.

However, why not reinstate it as a car park, with reduced car parking charges or better still free parking for short periods of time. This would encourage car drivers to park near the town centre and spend money with local businesses.

Car drivers are currently discouraged from doing this and instead are persecuted by traffic wardens and high car parking fees. For these reasons many car drivers park for free on the surrounding residential roads, making those roads congested, narrow and dangerous.
