The problem is my sister-in-law is waiting for a suite which she bought from them, and she can't get hold of them. I just hoped that someone local to the company would know if there was a problem? We live near Manchester and we didn't feel like driving , unless it is absolutely necessary.
I have tried to contact Furniure Warehouse over 20 times in the last 2 weeks. I have even contacted the supplier of the furniture I am waiting to have replaced for the 3rd time!! I paid over 1,700 pounds many months ago and still have a damaged corner group sitting in my lounge. I was more that understanding with both of the salesmen I dealt with as I have been in the furniture trade myself. I am totally disgusted with the dishonestly of the so called "Family run" company. I spoke to one of the customer after sales team a few weeks ago & she said that there were "Issues" going on then. I would advise you to seek legal assistance totry and get your money back. Maybe contact one of the other companies on the business estate to see if they are still trading. They have another website linked to theirs with a new name so look that up.Good luck.
Their website -as mentioned - is still up. Maybe it is worth trying the one in Uckfield. Their service is certainly not winning them friends: http://tinyurl.com/38boa3q

Furniture warehouse is a trading name of Haggle Ltd. The owner and director is Peter George Ablewhite, 12 Chatsworth Road, Brighton, BN15 5DB. It is not registered as a company as insolvent and is an active company. If anyone has any luck, or knows more than me, please speak - want my damn sofa!
Furniture Warehouse is a trading name of Peter Ablewhite as he is a sole trader and not a limited company. Haggle Ltd is registered at the same address but is not the the same company. Applewhite is trying to come to an agreement with creditors to avoid bankrupcy via an IVA through a company called Whitemaunds. A creditors vote was taking place on the 6th Jan to either accept or reject the IVA.
Either way contact Whitemaunds on 01273 731144 and if you paid by credit card contact you credit card provider to see if they can refund your money. Also send an email to the local paper where he lives and tell them your story. editor@theargus.co.uk. Hopefully if enough people contact them they will do a story on the s***bag. Lets make sure he can't rip anyone else off.

I ordered a three piece suite from this company at the beginning of last November. After six weeks, it still had not arrived, I gave them the benefit of the doubt because of the snow at the time, emailed them and did get a reply back giving me a lead time, which I thought then that my item would of been been delivered just after christmas. It has stll not arrived and it is now February!! I have called several numbers, they don't exist, emailed with no response. I would have driven down, but I live in Wiltshire, so it is a way to come, and why should I anyway, I am not at fault! They have taken over £900 from me, money I had saved hard for to be able to buy a three piece suite. I have been in contact with trading standards, have sent a letter recorded delivery stating I want my money back by 14th Feb, I doubt that will happen! I will be getting back to trading standards, what they can do I don't know. How someone can do this to people is beyond me, pure s***, thats what he is!
Shame On You.
People buying furniture cheap from web site companies should ask themselves why is their furniture so cheap.
You may pay more from a smaller independant shop but at least you get good service and most of them are genuinely family run.
As for buying cheap furniture from a sussex based company when you live in Wiltshire or Manchester shame on you, are there no furniture shops nearer, so that if there is a problem you can get to them easier.
People remember shop locally or you may lose all your local shops.

I don't think my purchase is that cheap!! Why shame on us? We have a right to buy where we want. Yes I made a mistake buying from this company, the only reason I bought online was because it was easier, I live out in the sticks. The shops that are near us are way out of my price range, I saved long and hard to buy what I wanted, some of us are not made of money!
