Ever wondered just how much power you're using and which appliances are costing you the most? Would it be useful to see how much your electricity is costing you as you use it? There will soon be the opportunity to find out by loaning an energy monitor from Burgess Hill library.

West Sussex County Council Libraries, namely Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath and East Grinstead, have teamed up with Mid Sussex District Council to offer the loan service. Monitors will be able to be borrowed for three weeks.

It is hoped that the new loan scheme will help our community to cut energy waste and also reduce our electricity bills at the same time.

Pru

Moore, Mid Sussex District Council Cabinet Member for Leisure and

Sustainability, said on the West Sussex County Council website:

"With energy prices rising, a small change in energy use can

make a big difference to your bills. Now you can just pop into your

local library to pick up a monitor and find out exactly how much

energy you are using and how you can make reductions in your energy

use habits."

The energy monitor launch will take place on Monday 25th October at 2.00pm at East Grinstead library, which will be attended by Pru Moore and also Brad Watson from Mid Sussex District Council.

So, would you loan one? Just think what else those wasted pennies could go towards...
