From your real Christmas tree to your beer bottles, cardboard packaging and Christmas cards, much of your Christmas waste can be recycled in Burgess Hill.

According to Mid Sussex District Council, we usually recycle 46% of the waste we make in Mid Sussex and I would imagine we make a lot more at this time of year!

If you want to check when your waste bin and recycling bin will be collected over the festive period, see here.

As for your Christmas tree, you can recycle it at Cyprus Road Car Park or Burgess Hill Football Club at Maple Drive from January 3rd-January 18th 2012.

Did you know that plastic bottles, glass bottles, glass jars, paper, cardboard, cartons, food and drink cans and foil/foil containers can all go in your blue recycling bin?

Garden waste collections will be on hold between 25th December and 8th January in case you were planning a grand festive period garden tidy...

Happy recycling!
